in the following days, i will upgrade this forum to a more functional one where you can post your pictures, check calendar etc.

it requires some conversion programming, so if you see some anormalities in the following days, dont worry, that means I have messed it up and trying to recover it. ( I already got a back up on this forum)

If you see a different forum but with same information, that means I have succeeded.

You can check the new forum functions at http://www.sunescaperealestate.com/smf . Thats a demo.

Ok people, the new forum is up and running.
I am still slowly moving posts around,so all information is organised, and nobody should have any problem finding the information they need.

Now what is new and how does it work?

Is pretty much still works the same as the previous forum, however this one in more extensive and it has integrated sub categories and a CALENDAR whoohoooo!!
(it also has a picture gallery for all your and our images, but thats not running yet)

I advise that everybody reads the information that is under "help" at the top of the page.
Here it shows the basics on how the forum works and how posting a message works.

If you post a message you will see a very extensive 'editor', you can play around with it and pimp out your post  Smiley
For those with spelling issues, there is an automatic spell check (if you make spelling error there will be a red line under your word, if you click on it, you will get a suggestion of the correct word)

I urge everybody to search topics before posting.
Sometimes your topic already has been discussed, so you can than continue in that topic instead of posting another topic with exactly the same question. (i have removed and merged a lot of double posts over the weekend)

Also before posting think of clear subject for your topic...doesnt matter if it is long, at least it is clear what it is about.
A topic with 'bank' can mean anything from 'where is Garanti Bank' to 'my turkish bank charges extra for transactions'.

How do i find new posts?
If there is a new post in a forum/topic, the orange flower will have turned blue. Once you've read it, it turns back to orange again.
If you see a lot of blue big flowers, and do not want to read everything; go to the top of the forum page and click on 'Mark Read'

Fun Stuff:
- easy uploading your avatar (small picture of yourself)
- credit people points or deduct points (if they make a good post)
- befriend other people with 'buddy button'
- extensively edityour post
For now enjoy, dont freak out if you can't find info immediately

You can now also very easily post a funny video or a clip of your holiday in your post.

how:
click new post
copy the link to you video in your post. example:
Code:
http://dailymotion.com/watch/23469%.flv

the forum will than embed that video by itself, without you having to press complicated buttons or make up codes yourself (i know more than half of you have no idea what i am saying)

anyway, if you want to post a video that is hosted on one of the following sites, all you have to do is copy and paste the link into your post.

- You tube
- Vimeo
- Daily motion
- Google video
- Mega Video
- Meta Cafe
- Blip
for music files
- BooMp3
-MP3tube
- Songza
-Ijigg

and many more

P.S.: Youtube is blocked in Turkey, so if you find a funny video, see if it is on other sites as well so we here can have a laugh also  Grin

example:
copy/paste from website
Code:
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1703185/dog_on_trampoline/

results in
<a href="http://www.metacafe.com/fplayer/1703185/metacafe.swf" target="_blank">http://www.metacafe.com/fplayer/1703185/metacafe.swf</a>
