A POLICE operation to tackle drugs being sold in pubs and discos in Didim has resulted in three arrests.

Didim Police Department said three people were caught trying to sell drugs to holiday makers in the district.

Officers arrested Ö.K., F.Ö., and Ms. F.L. and recovered 22 grammes of hashish on Tuesday (Aug 12) around 4am in Altınkum Yalı Avenue. Ö.K. was released pending trial, while F.L. and F.Ö. were arrested and sent to prison while investigations continue.

The Police Department said: “We will fight to the finish against those who poison our youth. We ask residents to help us in this fight and call 155 Police Help line to notify of persons they suspect.”

Youngsters....please never leave your drink unattended in a bar, cover it with your hand, your pack of cigarettes or just keep it in your hand.

Also safer not to accept anything to smoke from guys at the boulevard, as not only possession of drugs is highly illegal in Turkey, but being caught using it is also punishable.
