With regard to cornellia 2 committee, can we suggest the following, The forum seems to be the focal point, it would be almost impossible for us all to meet, as we all visit Turkey at different times so if you place a letter under everyone’s door, explaining that the committee will be run through the forum, explain in the letter to each owner that it is their responsibility to check the forum on a regular basis, if they don’t then its their problem, if they haven’t got a computer then there must be someone in their family that has, or they could use an internet café. Through the forum we elect one owner to represent us all, he should have access to the forum, he will then post anything relevant on the forum if there are no objections say after a week then he takes the appropriate action, he should always have the casting vote, obviously there would be a fair bit of work involved so each owner should contribute a small fee for his time. Its just an idea that may solve the problems cornellia 1 are having

Hello Nigel,

Although forum might be the focal point, forum can not be used to hold meetings legally. A meeting in Turkey have to hold with whoever available. If people are not present, they can always give proxy. What chosen director does is to implement the decisions that has taken in the meeting. It is like choosing a president of a country. You choose him and he does the rest.

However you can use forums to give your ideas about CV2. As you would guess, it is not the responsibility of a resident to access the internet and use forum to hold a meeting or any other contributions.

We fully understand that the forum cannot be used for a meeting, But I doubt anyone would want to take the responsibility to make decisions (even with proxy votes) for all of us without consultation, Even if someone did volunteer I doubt the rest of the owners would be happy that he could effectively control the complex without consultation. we can create our own rules how that consultation is obtained I suggested the forum because that is the quickest way of contacting all owners, those owners that choose not to use the internet will have to make other arrangements with the elected representative. No matter what you say it would be impossible for everyone to meet in Turkey at the same time, Countries elect presidents etc. but they still have to abide by the country’s constitution, otherwise it becomes a dictatorship!

And I understand what you want to do , unfortunately Turkish laws state that a meeting has to be done within Turkey boundries which would be binding residents. Anything else would be non binding and not legal.

Not a problem everyone agrees everything on the forum as soon as you have enough residents in the complex (In england it would be Four) have the meeting finalise everything as per turkish law, then leave it to the elected representative to implement it, remember it could be any resident at the meeting because it would have all been agreed prior on the forum

Am I right in saying that a resident can call a meeting and if only 2 or 3 people show up, than a director can be elected and he can run the complex ?
