hi all,
we got to our apt b9 this week for the 1st time and the 2 plasma tv`s were in boxes on the floor, i questioned why they were not up and running, was told we need to buy a digi box ? 1st ive heard of this?
seems wrong to me, its like having the oven in the kitchen but not working and the developer saying "oh you need to buy the pipes and cables to get it working"
also the water supply keeps cutting off so we cannot wash or shower, anyone else had these probs?
cheers andy n nicki b9. mf1

Hi,
Congratulations on your new apartment !
We have an apartment on Mayfair 2 - we had to purchase a digi box too - I think everyone that we know did - we didn't see this as a builder / developer issue as our contract stated TV which is exactly what we got- the digi boxes I don't think are very expensive and I think you guys benefit from more UK channels than us due to that lovely big satelite dish (very jealous). You can pick them up in various shops in town and I think sunescape have people who they trust and like to use in addition.
And as for the water cuts - we have owned since I think 2007 ? - we have always found at times there are fairly short water or electricity cuts but they are much now improved to how they used to be. I just accept this as part of the Turkish way of life - the infrastructure is not the same as in England and you will at times experience cuts anywhere I believe locally. I have found trying to get used to Turkey time beneficial and tried to grow to love the differences in way of life.
It can be stressful when you first buy but I am sure that you will love your apartment when you settle in. Good luck with it all and we might see you by the pool side someday :0)

Just got back from Mayfair 2, a lot of power cuts this time due to the new cable's being laid.
The Marina Road coming on great now.
We always have problems with TV, have digi box, sometimes ok.
But love the life so laid back.
Enjoy your apartment.
