Hi All

within So's email to us all she wrote :-"Regarding item 7 on the minutes; there have been changes made to the owner law on the residents and this item states that these changes will apply to the management plan of the complex. (full article can be found at http://rega.basbakanlik.gov.tr/eskiler/2007/11/20071128-1.htm , however it is in Turkish and pretty long. if asked by majority, we can have it translated at the expense of complex maintenance."

Karen and I would request that we have it translated

can anyone shed any light on the new tapu laws to be implemented in november the article is on voices newspaper the altinkum english newspaper and im sure it will affect our complexes so if you could look it up then debate i think it would be wise as there is a fine for those who havent complied

In reading the article on why a habitation certificate is needed, they state the buyers dont need to apply for one.  The builders require it in order to have water and electricity connected.  Bulent, do you have the habitation certificates for your complexes?  According to the article, if the water and electricity supply is in the apartment owners name, then the habitation certificate has been issued.  Sorayma, I noticed on my Bill Follow-up that I have an electricity number but not a water number.  Have these not been put in my name yet?  Baris has my POA and should have done this by now.  I take it I will still have to get my Tapu amended, even if the certificate has been issued.  Could you confirm what has been done and what still needs to be done, Bulent or Sorayma?

Hi All
Karen and I are just back from our apartment, there is a lot of talk with regard to the condiminium laws in the bars and restaurant from other owners the main issue is the fine that is going to be issued to all owners if they have not got the correct Tapu, Bulent has posted on the forum full details, we have checked ours as soon as we returned to the Uk and ours is wrong, but we beleive that the right one will be in sunescapes office to collect
as we have our electric and water in our own names we are sure the Habitation certificate has been obtained for CV2 so there should be no problem.
There are also issues with regard to percentage of Votes needed to approve changes to the complex. Voices newspaper was rather vague but it seems we need 80% to get anything carried. the translations of the new law are very poor we think we realy need it translated properly and then explained.
Although we are fairly convinced that Sun escapes have handled everything correctly, they have in our opinion not been very forthcoming in their explanations of the new law ( it was passed in November 2007)
As Sun escapes deal with Four complexes it would not cost each owner much to have it translated and advised independently

As explained earlier We are sure that everything is Ok with our complex, but with the amount of talk in the town we for one would be in favour of a translation and explination
